My younger brother had applied for a passport a while back and today the police had called for verification. Apparently to get a passport in my town you need a letter from a third person who knows you whatever stupid documents to validate your existence and of course, "bring Rs.200/-" they say.
200 bucks as bribe and they are demanding it....
I got pissed, a bit depressed, started scrounging the net to get information on how somebody can get a passport without bribing. Not much hope really. But i found this guy who got a driving license without bribing and even blogged the procedure.
Also while searching found a "How to Battle Corruption" article by Kaushik Das and another one on my favorite subjects, "Defining Anarchy" by Mark Davis
Anarchy is a functioning society free of government controls. That is individual persons operating together in harmony based on freely reached agreements concluded between individual members and groups of a society.Anarchy is simply a free society.Anarchy is not the result of a statist-government failure; that would be chaos. The chaos in New Orleans is not due to anarchy, it is an example of the failure of statist-government.

People against LHC or any scientific experiment should be added to the list of "people to be left behind...when an asteroid is on a collision course with earth and we have to skip the planet".

BSNL's DNS servers are apparently not safe and can be exploited using Dan Kaminsky's DNS Vulnerability Exploit. Dumb Ar*es haven't patched their servers yet. Don't know about other ISP's in india.
Also noticing BSNL's sluggish behaviour recently. I am thinking, is BSNL already under attack? Think of all the black-hat hackers from pakistan who regularly screw around with government servers.
OpenDNS is suggested by Dan as a safe option.

watched Kikujiro no natsu
A beautiful movie.
came across this title a few days ago and since the story sounded like the story of
Nandalala by Mysskin of "Anjathey" fame. I decided to watch this movie.
What is your next movie going to be?
Mostly Nanda Lala. It is about two kids travelling together to find their mothers; one is a seven-year old boy and the other though 20 has the mental age of a seven-year old. They both meet and start the journey together. I am trying to get the right kids for the film. The moment I get them, I will start shooting.
....My greatest inspiration is Kurasowa followed by Takeshi Kitano. Of course, Satyajit Ray is also there. That is why I have their photos in my room...
From an interview of Mysskin on rediff
